The last steps of different works
have started now.
The sidewalk in front of the house gets its borderstones set and the
last bit of the garden wall is closed now.
Also the carpenters have started
now putting up the planks for the
pool terrace. |

On wednesday we fill up the pool. There is lorry after lorry coming
on to the site and until the evening
80 m³ of fresh water are filled in.
Might still be a little to fresh for me
to check the feeling of swimming
in my own pool :-). |

All proofs are finished and the upcoming Wednesday the pool
will be filled.
On Thursday the montage of the
cover and the pool electric will follow.
Before the pool is filled with clean water, the stone walls are cleaned with the Karcher – what is producing
a huge amount of dirt

Anniversary! Now it is 2 years since the ground-braking ceremony. It was on the 17th of September 2008.
My promise: It will definitely not take another 2 years :-). |

This week we do not have any entries in the diary. We
are still waiting for information of my favourite Spanish concern GESA/Endesa (power supply).
As long as the power supply at the storefront side is
not laid into the ground, we cannot finish the last works there. GESA has a big monopole and is working or not – just as it pleases. I could hold a monologue on that and give many examples for that, but as we are in Spain,
it is like it is and it is not worth having troubled thoughts. So we will wait a little longer and maybe we will finish
it this autumn… |

Always when the lorry comes on the site, it leaves with
a huge load. We are beginning with tidying up the site
and the neighbour’s area. |

First joists for the pool terrace are arriving. We begin with the basement for the planks.
Now, the last missing stone plates
for the pool frame have been
delivered and the framing can
be finished. |

Many tiny detail works:
This is a „caracol“. Not a snail but a forged belt of
metal which works as a spring to keep the shutters
in place, even if it’s windy outside.
I am chosing the bathroom equipment, such as
mirrors, accessories and lamps etc. If I won’t find
them in Palma, I will go to Barcelona for that. |

We decided for asthetical reasons
for another layer of plaster on the storefront to the garden. I did not like the finish, but now everything will be fine. |

The handrail of the stairway to the basement area is ready and also
the missing handrails of the balcony to the main terrace and at the
stairway to the basement of the pool.
When the glass panes for the handrails of the big stairway are delivered next week, the works
within the inner of the house are finished.

The measures for the huge stone plates of the pool frame are taken
and fitted in, the gaps are filled in
and by the end of the week two sides of the frames are ready.
The carpenter also took measurements for the wooden
planks of the pool terrace. There
will be used a high quality wood,
but nobody can give me a German translation for it: IPE… |

The side walls of the pool in direction to the lawn are plastered.
The stone table of the pool terrace is growing.
By Friday, the joint compound will be dry and the
whole table board can be polished |

During the whole week, the gaps
