Week review:
The basement rooms underneath the pergola get their lockable door. Now we are able to lock our tools and materials.
Upcoming week two of the basement rooms will be tiled and then I will paint the walls. Yes, the boss is doing some work as well now :-).
The electric installations within these rooms are set onto the finery. |

Now we arrived at the electric installations in the basement. The empty tubes are led by bundle at the basement ceiling and slowly there is some regularity within the chaos.
Here once again was some pickle work done: The main conduction come from the entrance sideways at the stairway to the basement. |

The second delivery of the isolation plates arrived and the terrace on first floor is isolated now, too. I am not doing my siesta by the way, I try to save the light plates from being blown away.
Until the end of the week all the water drains are set and the floating screed with decline to the drains are ready. |

3 chimneys altogether we have to cover the empty tubes for ventilation, electronics and the drainage of the terraces. In this picture you see the chimney with the step on second floor.

The company "Calizas Manacor" will fabricate the steps from Binissalem-Stone, the window borderings from Marés and also the covers of the wall crowns.

Week review:
This week stood under the sign of the electric installations. The laid empty tubes will be protected by a layer of concrete as soon as possible to prevent from problems with the tube sinking afterwards. The slots in the walls and the slots for the tubes under the distribution boxes will be plastered and the sinking of the first cables on the upper terrace is done. |

Much mind work at planning the window borderings and sills had to be done. After having offers from different companies I decided for a supplier.
The window sills will have 4cm strenghts and are made of majorquean blocks from Binissalem, the borderings of high quality mares blocks from Santanyí.

| The effluents on the upper terrace are set and sealed and the incline to the effluents is prepared. By the end of the week the upper terrace will be ready to be laid with the sealing layer and to be tiled. |

After finishing all the water pipes and checking their pressure, now all the remaining in-wall boxes can be bricked in.
The last remaining wall elements and cupboards in the bathrooms are also been set up now. |

We begin with the electric installations now. Beginning on top floor the electricians will continue their work downstairs.
First hundreds of meters of tubes are laid. All pipes of lights, shifters and boxes are led centrical to the distribution boxes. All head pipes and pipes for telephone, TV, network and thermostats are following. First it looks really chaotic, but there comes a regularity after a time. |

Like this the kitchen will look like: Generous work surfaces and much storeroom with a comfortable seating area at the bar.
As a matter of course, only kitchen equipments with best possible energy efficiency will be used. |

Mr. Robert from Germany is helping with the laying of the isolation plates on the terrace of the 2nd floor.
Onto the cleaned surface of the terrace, there are laid plates of styrofoam for protection first. Then come 20 mm strong, built on mass Vacu-Isotherm plates. After that another layer of styrofoam. Finishing with a fleece and a protection layer of concrete.
The isolation layer is only 30 mm strong, but it works like an usual isolation layer of 20 cm. That saves a lot on the total height. |

Week review:
Fassades of both big upper terraces are rough plastered also and prepared for the laying of the special thermo-isolation until Friday. Mr. Robert is especially coming for this event from Germany. More on this with the next entry. |

The boxes and their pipes for the central vacuum cleaner system are placed and can be plastered.
With the different installations of water and air systems we come to an end. Over the weekend the whole water system will be put on compression and have a look if it is airtight. |

Now also the garage is roughcast and can be prepared for the following works.
This week we cast siderooms on ground floor and basement, it took more time than we thought it would.
Next week we can begin with the installation of the electric wires. |
