I am amaze!: The company "Swiss Interactive" converted the CAD plans of the architect into foto realistic pictures and finally one can imagine better, how the optimacasa house will be look like. The illustrations can be viewed also in the chapter Plans>Visualizations and there is also existing a PDF document with larger formatted pictures.

This week is continuing the same way like the last one. The waistwater disposal lines, ventilations, grey-water and rain water lines are all finished now and the water lines are partly ready installed. More than the half of the roughcast works on ground floor are finished until the end of the week.

Week review: Although the week was short - Monday we had a big Spanish holiday - we continued working fastly. The rough plaster works on the first floor are almost ready. Only the places with block outs for the cable canals are not prepared.

In the basement rooms underneath the pergola we did the rough plaster. Now only the floor plates, baseboards and the colouring with white chalk paint is missing. Afterwards we can do the installations for the whole pool technique. Rafael ordered a robust door and soon we have the possibility here, to save expensive tools and accessories from being robbed.

Now, after all waist water pipes in the basement area have been laid, the wall isolation can be prepared and a closing wall can be build.

The other basement rooms are roughly plastered until the end of the week and the supporting column in the basement has got a nice lining. As soon as the basement rooms are tidied up, and the water and power pipes have been laid, the concrete can be cast.

Now the distribution boxes for heating and hot water of the 2nd floor are bricked in and the shower of the upper bathroom gets its form. The vent pipes for bathrooms, kitchen and basement are laid and Jens is beginning with laying the water pipes. On ground floor we are beginning with the rough plaster works.

The ceilings of the second floor are roughly cast. Next week we will continue with the plaster works of the hall ceiling of the middle floor. A scaffolding is prepared to reach the ceiling. It was a good idea to have a look for the connection to the canalisation. The nivel of our pipe from the house is a bit lower than the one of the street. But there is a solution, the pipe of the house can be raised.

This week's good weather is perfect for the outdoor works. The storefront to the terrace of the 2nd floor will be cast and the finishing wall on the roof is getting a ring beam.

The terrace on the 2nd floor also gets a layer of cement on the rough concrete. The light incline will also help to protect from rain water coming in. Slowly it is continuing with the sanitary installations. Still, gaps for more wall- and ceiling openings have to be prepared.

Andreu, the kitchen cabinet maker, comes on time in the morning and takes measurements. The layout of the kitchen is defined and I am scratching the plugs and the light switches. Plaster works are continuing and the first ceilings are about to be plastered. The yellow coat is helping the plastering to stay on the plain concrete. On top of the roof, we cover open cork isolations with a layer of cement to protect them from rain water until the ceiling will be waterproofed at the end.

The plastering works on first and second floor are continuing. The first two ceilings in the bedrooms on first floor are also plastered rough now.

A dusty work! More cable canals on ground floor are cut and chiseled out. Also there are dozens of plugs that have to be set to size. Not really beautiful, but necessary. The big distribution boxes have also be set up. Preferably we position them in cupboards or behind doors, where they are not directly visible. On first and second floor we almost finished with that work, next week ground floor and basement will follow.

First distribution boxes for water and heating are bricked in. Here we also have to bear in mind that the places have to be hidden but easy to reach. The solid brackets with integrated water tank for the freely suspended toilets are screwed tightly and bricked in, after the tube conntections are ready. The tubing in the basement area are almost ready, so we can continue with the brick works here.
